EyeMax mono intraocular lenses for patients with macular degeneration - Dr. J. Martín
The EyeMax mono intraocular lens is a lens specifically designed for patients who have macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

Until now, people with AMD who needed cataract surgery could only opt for monofocal lenses. These focus the images with maximum sharpness on the macula, which is precisely the area damaged by the disease, so there is usually not much improvement after surgery.

The EyeMax mono lens is designed to focus images to a wider central area, so that the person  can see more clearly around the affected area. If the disease progresses, the images can be focused using the adjacent healthy retina, offering a higher quality of life for longer.

We have already implanted the first EyeMax mono intraocular lenses in Tarragona with good results and patient satisfaction.
